Grateful to share my first work of the year with you, a year that already holds clarity - a very welcomed fresh perspective decades in the making. I’ve realized despite efforts to transform a particular relationship in my life, I've continued to come up against consistent challenges. As I've tried new approaches, the outcome has primarily stayed the same. I read recently the Universe continues to greet us with a recurring challenge or situation, until we finally get the message. “If something keeps showing up in our awareness, its happening for a reason. It’s bringing our attention to something we should clear.” I can say with great relief, gratitude and confidence that the message, dear Universe, has been received. And now I can see clearly. And I won’t allow myself to unsee. I see what is true now. I see that while I played my part in the relationship’s rocky road, I am not inherently flawed. Instead now, I enter a new chapter, surrounded by a gentle and clear bubble of self-respect. I’m learning to create boundaries to shield myself from bad behavior - both that of others and my own. For my friends experiencing a similarly challenging relationship, I stand with you and your growth towards self respect and love. Towards forgiveness of the other person, and more importantly of yourself. Neither rose colored glasses or old lenses, but the desire to see ourselves as we truly are - whole, perfectly imperfect, and dignified. “Each of us guards a gate of change that can only be unlocked from the inside.”
