As I’m working to grow a foundation of self love, I'm noticing an unexpected unraveling. Everything all of a sudden looks a little bit off. I’m looking at the same thing but my eyes have changed. “Once you start loving yourself, things will no longer look good to you unless they are good for you.”

Noticing the inner need for prioritization, belonging and worthiness, has me questioning the reliability of placing these pillars in the hands of external sources. How could my inner worth, inner love be dependent on anything outside of me? This has been unsettling while simultaneously deeply grounding. For now, I’m encouraging myself to allow this discomfort. To put away, or for a moment suspend my desire to be good, to be right, to be chosen. I am loved.
